Ms. Sabrina Brown
Meet The Director
I have been working within the childcare development industry and early education system for over 30 years. I assist/lead teachers, directors, assistant directors, and staff members to ensure that all children receive the best possible support during their early years.
I am pending a Ed.D in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Organizational Development. Hold a M.S.L in Business Leadership, a B.S. in Business Management, an A.A.B in Business Administration. However, my understudies was in the focus of Child Development.
I am currently the Director of Fresh Start Developmental learning and Fine Art Center. In my role, I supervise the overall education and curriculum program, the professional development for educators, learning leaders, and the development of family partnership resources. I also spearhead various non-profit organizations as well as present to parents and educators in a virtual and or live format throughout the year. I am a proud wife, and mother of two boys and a girl.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide variety of constituents including culturally and ethnically diverse military families in Camp Pendleton California (United States Marine Corps). I tend to bring a family orientated mindset to work and ensure adult education and children’s curriculum materials celebrate and reflect an authentic inclusion to the program.
Fresh Start Developmental Learning and Fine Art Center is a center-based organization that believe every child can learn but in their own way. Our method of teaching is based not only on the natural learning process of each child, but with lots of hands-on learning. We believe every child learn at a different pace which is why we keep our classrooms small so that each child can get that one-on-one attention with their teachers.
We believe every child can master every task that is presented to them. Our teachers reinforce learning as a positive experience. We believe that success develops the child’s self-confidence and self-esteem. With the love and passion, Fresh Start have for our children, we are dedicated to the highest quality and care, making an ever-lasting mark on the children we serve as always, one student, one teacher, one community at a time.
We are extremely excited to have you and your child apart of the Fresh Start Developmental Learning and Fine Arts Program.
We hope to make your time with us a very interesting and rewarding experience not only for you, but for your family as well. Fresh Start provides a fun, caring, and educational environment for your child. At Fresh Start Developmental Learning and Fine Art Center, our overall goal is to provide a nurturing, secure, and educational environment for your child/ren. At Fresh Start we believe children need to have an opportunity to not only bloom emotionally, but intellectually, physically, and sociably by not only through implementing educational activities, but by implementing hands on activities through fine arts.
Fresh Start offers a variety of exceptional programs to ensure your child has the best possible experience while in our care such as: Homework Assistance, Arts and Crafts, Reading Centers, Age Appropriate Curriculum, and Nutritious meals and/or snacks.
In order to serve you and your child’s individual needs, we need cooperation between staff and parents.
This handbook has been prepared to help you understand the Fresh Start Developmental Learning and Fine Arts Program, and the ways you can help us work for the good of the children, families, and the community.
All parents should read this handbook and become familiar with Fresh Start policies and procedures. Keep this handbook in a safe place to refer back to it on an as needed basis J!
To develop effective learning at a young age for all children that so they can one day become productive citizens within today’s society.
• No two children learn the same way or at the same speed.
• All children should be encouraged to learn at their own rate
- Children learn best when learning is fun.
- Parents are the first and most important teachers.
- Parents should be involved and a part of the Fresh Start learning experience.
- Parents take pride in their child’s accomplishments and encourage them in their challenges.
- Children can retain more when teachers and parents work as a team to encourage and guide their development.
- Today’s children are tomorrow’s best hope for the future.
I am the Infant Teacher. Working with infants is such a joy. I love the fact that they can learn. Does not matter how old they are, still teach them daily, and soon they will start to show you the teacher that they have been listening the whole time. They are like sponges. The early years are very important in a child’s life, which is why I am so glad and honored I get to share that learning experience with them as they blossom into toddlers.
I am the Toddler Teacher. I started working with children since the age of 17 years old. I have been in the childcare industry for 10 years thus far. I love working with children because they have their own challenges, and I love to assist with hose challenges that they may face. I love the fact they are all unique in their own way, and they all learn on different levels at different times. They are their own little person.
I am the Pre-K Teacher. I been working in the childcare industry for 23 years all together. My love for kids I love to play with them and give big, huge hugs all the time. I enjoy working with all age groups, but Pre - K is my passion because they are getting prepared for kindergarten. I love teaching them the word wall every morning in English and Spanish.
I am the After-schoolers Teacher. I have been working with children within the childcare industry for 18 months now. I love working with the schoolers because they love a challenge, and I like kids. I like helping them with their homework and just seeing them blossom as they complete homework assignments and share with their friends.
